About the Festival
Between the Lines is an annual festival that celebrates literature.
The aim of the festival is, simply, to inspire a love of books and reading in children and young adults. We, the organisers, are passionate about the power of books and how much they can enrich lives.
We want everyone who participates to experience the wonder of meeting some wonderful storytellers, to sit spellbound as they breathe life into their words and make their characters dance off the page.
Our authors are local, they are from different parts of Western Australia and they are from other states of Australia. All of them are different with unique stories to share.
Between the Lines has always been schools-focused but this year, for the first time, we are introducing a Family Day, a day for families to also experience the magic of stories.
