About the Festival
Between the Lines is an annual festival that celebrates literature.

The aim of the festival is, simply, to inspire a love of books and reading in children and young adults. We are passionate about the power of books and the ways in which they can enrich lives.

We want everyone who participates to experience the wonder of meeting some wonderful storytellers, to sit spellbound as they breathe life into their words and make their characters dance off the page.

The participating authors are Australian - some local, some from different parts of Western Australia and some from other states of Australia. Each author is different with a unique story to share.

Between the Lines is a schools-based festival but also includes a Family Day festival. We look forward to this day every year as it involves the community and provides an opportunity for families to experience the magic of stories.
